Join Us: Mobilization Call for the Foreign Aid Bridge Fund – Thursday at 11 AM EST
📢 An Urgent Call to Action: Learn How You Can Help Keep Frontline Organizations Afloat
Dear Unlock Aid community,
The U.S. foreign aid freeze has put some of the world’s most effective frontline organizations at risk of shutting their doors. In response, in partnership with a number of organizations, we have launched The Foreign Aid Bridge Fund—a rapid-response initiative to keep high-impact, frontline organizations running during this crisis.
Now, we need your help to ensure we have the funding to make critical emergency grants to these organizations.
Join us this Thursday, February 20 at 11 AM EST for a Foreign Aid Bridge Fund Mobilization Call to learn more about the fund and how you can get involved.
This call is open to funders, philanthropists, impact investors, philanthropic advisors, communicators, doers, and anyone who wants to help frontline organizations make it through this crisis and be part of the future of how U.S. foreign aid operates.
This Is a Call for People Who Want to Take Action & Donate Today
This is the place for those in our community who don’t just talk about the need for smarter, more sustainable development practices—but want to take action. If you believe in supporting organizations with sustainable models that are building the future of global development, this call is for you.
Unlocking the First $1M – A Critical Milestone
By unlocking our first milestone of $1M by the end of this week, we will be in a position to immediately make critical grants to frontline organizations that have now been impacted by this freeze for a month. These grants will allow them to continue life-saving work, from delivering essential medicines to maintaining food security programs to supporting refugees in crisis.
All funding decisions will be made by an independent Investment Committee who are experts in the fields of evidence-based philanthropy, impact investing, global health and development, innovation, and sustainability.
Why This Matters Now
In just the past few days, we’ve heard from more than 150 frontline organizations—spanning sectors like global health, food security, and humanitarian aid – whose funding has been frozen. Their needs range from $25,000 to $20M+, and while we can’t bridge every gap, we are working to deploy resources where they can have the most immediate and meaningful impact.By joining the call, you’ll:
Hear directly about the real impact of the U.S. foreign aid freeze on frontline organizations
Learn about how The Foreign Aid Bridge Fund is helping and how funds will be deployed
Find out ways to mobilize funding and support to ensure these organizations survive and continue their work
Connect with other philanthropists, donors, and impact-driven supporters who are stepping up in this critical moment
